Taped Comcast 5 minute Spot Sept. 25th

Yesterday, we taped the 5 minute spot on Comcast Newsmakers for Practicing Sucks, But It Doesn’t Have To!, the newest book by Phyllis Sdoia-Satz and Barry Satz.  It will be aired 40x during the month of October.  They are going to send us a tape of it, because we haven’t seen it yet.

Practicing Sucks is on Amazon and Barnes and Noble websites

For a while, Practicing Sucks wasn’t available on the Barnes and Noble Website but now it is.  For a listing of all Phyllis Sdoia-Satz works including Practicing Sucks, But It Doesn’t Have To, in the Barnes and Noble search dialog box type, “Phyllis Sdoia-Satz” and it will bring up all 6 of my works, including Practicing Sucks, But It Doesn’t Have To”.  So, look for it on Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.  It still isn’t on Borders, but we’re hoping that will change.

Today’s the day

Practicing Sucks, But It Doesn’t Have To is being shipped to the bookstores today.  Borders will have it, and also Barnes and Noble but it is NOT on their website. You have to go into the store to get it.  It’s also on Amazon and all 5 of my Husky Gang works are on Amazon as well.  If you Google “Phyllis Sdoia-Satz”, you’ll find a whole lot of places carrying the book besides Barnes and Noble and Borders.  Remember, Practicing Sucks has hundreds of tips to help students learn practically anything requiring study, memorizaiton, comprehension and repetition, faster, easier with more success and less frustration. And — a lot more fun learning.

Yesterday we did a radio interview about Practicing Sucks

Yesterday we did a radio interview with Maggie Linton on “Cover to Cover”.  Half hour interview.  The book is coming out on the 16th of September.  We have workshops and book signings all over town in Books and Books, Barnes and Noble and Borders starting in October.  Check the Barnes and Noble or Borders closest to you for dates, or come visit us here and we’ll give you dates, times, and store locations

It should have been out August 28, but Rowman and Littlefield are a little backed up. Glad you are so positive about the book. It really has some wonderful tips in it. Look for it in Barnes and Noble, Books and Books and Borders. You can also order it directly from etodd@Rowman.com.  We’re planning a ‘launch party” for the first day it appears in the stores.

Barry and I are amazed at how many organizations have asked us to do seminars to teach students and instructors how to use the tips and ideas in Practicing Sucks.  They really work. Students have told us they can learn practically anything two to four times faster, using the ideas in the book.  If you will send us your book after you have purchased it, we’ll be glad to autograph it, and remember The Sdoia-Satz Method (that’s what is in the book) works for ANYTHING, well, PRACTICALLY ANYTHING requiring learning, studying, memorizing and repetition.

Two weeks to go!!

Practicing Sucks But It Doesn’t Have To! has gone to press and will be on the bookshelves in two weeks. Phyllis Sdoia-Satz and Barry Satz will be conducting a seminar based on the information in Practicing Sucks on October 19, 2009 from 9 AM to 12 noon at Miami Shores Elementary School, located at 103rd Street & N.E. 5th Avenue.  The event is free and open to all elementary music instructors in the Miami Dade area. Teachers will be given educational credit for attending the seminar.
